The Black Lives Matter movement is going after Kanye West for the controversial “White Lives Matter” shirt he wore to his fashion Show in Paris on Monday, stating that it’s nothing but a stunt to hurt folks fighting for justice.
In a statement obtained by TMZ, BLM wrote:
“While some may see Kanye and Candace’s stunt as a distraction, we recognize that it harms thousands of families fighting for justice for their loved ones killed by state-sanctioned violence.”
For his part, Kanye says he wore the “White Lives Matter” shirt at his fashion show because “Everyone knows that Black Lives Matter was a scam.”
On his Instagram Story Kanye on Tuesday morning Kanye wrote – “Now it’s over. You’re welcome.”BLM disagrees, stating that the movement will benefit everyone in the long run because “when Black people get free, everybody gets free.”
The statement came after the fashion designer and some of the models wore a “White Lives Matter” shirt at Monday’s Paris Fashion Week presentation.
This caused fans and celebrities to react on social media. Jaden Smith, who attended West’s show, left early upon seeing the messaging.
