Vice President of the Bustamante Industrial Trade Union, BITU, Aldon Brown, is calling for the rates in the wage agreement reached on behalf of construction workers to be gazetted.
The joint industrial council and incorporated master builders association yesterday signed the 2019/2020 labour agreement which will see construction workers receiving a 6% increase in year one and a 5% increase in the second year.
Mr. Brown says it is necessary that the rates be gazetted to ensure stipulated wage agreement for the construction sector.
