Yesterday, Billboard dropped their 'Top Artists of the 21st Century' chart and fans are not feeling it.
The charts, which measures the performance of artiste from the start of 2000 through to the end of 2024, tabulate performance on the Billboard 200 albums charts and the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart throughout the period.
The first 10 artists are Taylor Swift, Drake, Rihanna, Post Malone, Eminem, The Weeknd, Beyonce, Justin Beiber, Bruno Mars and Usher (in that order).
From 11-20 Maroon 5, Adele, Morgan Wallen, Ed Sheeran, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Pink, Chris Brown, Ariana Grande and Ye.
Repping Jamaica, Sean Paul came in at number 88 on the list.
Billboard uploaded the stats to their Instagram and several fans were not pleased to find out that South Korean Boy Band “BTS” were not on the list.
Some social media users pointed out a disparity between Beyonce at number 7 and Taylor Swift in number one, considering Beyonce was declared the greatest pop star of the 21st century. Others demanded that Chris Brown be placed in the top five and Nicki Minaj, who ranked at number 36 be placed in the top 10.
Several Jamaican fans were peeved at the absence of Dancehall Icon Vybz Kartel.
