Beyoncé has won her first Primetime Emmy Award, taking home Outstanding Costumes for her “Beyoncé Bowl” halftime show which was streamed on Netflix.
The Western-themed performance, which was a part of the NFL’s Christmas Day game, featured over 500 performers and highlighted Black Southern heritage.
This marks Beyoncé’s first Emmy win after 10 nominations, putting her one step closer to EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony Awards) status.
The "Texas Hold Em" star remains nominated in two other categories, including Outstanding Variety Special, where she’s competing against her husband Jay-Z, who’s up for Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl show.
