Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland are giving back to their hometown in a major way through a new housing initiative in Houston.
The Destiny’s Child stars helped fund the $8.4 million ‘Knowles-Rowland House,’ a 31-unit supportive housing project for people experiencing chronic homelessness.
The development repurposes a former youth center originally funded by their early music success and later damaged by Hurricane Harvey and a fire.
When it opens later this year, residents will have access to housing, mental health care, and job-readiness and support services.
