Beenie Man refutes claims that he tested positive for corona while in Ghana.

Beenie Man, who performed at one of the biggest corporate events in Ghana, took to social media to set the record straight. I have no COVID, never caught COVID before, tested NEGATIVE for COVID. Been travelling for the past six months COVID-free. Fully vaccinated” he said on Twitter.

Earlier today, he posted receipts of his negative covid test alongside a statement, clearing up the matter. The images were captioned, “This was funny when it just started because it was unbelievable. But now it’s becoming serious. The people who are spreading these lies, stop. Mi no joke wid Coronavirus bc it stop mi work. It stop bread fimmi family. How me fi inna Ghana and run from Ghanaian Authorities? Stop it mon.”

The statement read in part, “As a carrier of the sickle cell disease, I understand the importance of following the protocols set out to help stop the spread of the virus. I know the importance of protecting myself, my family, my team, and the people I interact with”.

Yesterday, news circulate that Beenie Man was detained in Ghana for allegedly defying Covid 19 quarantine protocols.

According to Ghanaian media Citi News, it was said that “Girls Dem Sugar” deejay had tested positive for Covid 19 upon arrival at the Kotoka International Airport on December 19 and was sent into mandatory quarantine at the AH Hotel in East Legon by health officials.

A Ghanaian radio station also claimed that Beenie Man had also presented a fake vaccine passport as he was leaving the African country.
