Welp! Dancehall Drama is brewing again, but this time it involves Beenie Man and Future Fambo.
The "King of the Dancehall" is shutting down allegations that he assaulted fellow artiste Future Fambo at the popular Boom Sundays event.
In a statement shared via his official Instagram account earlier today (May 19), Beenie Man described the claims as “false, malicious, and defamatory" while demanding the immediate removal of any posts, videos, or publications repeating the accusation.
The statement also revealed that his management team has already lawyered up and intends to challenge the matter legally.
The controversy erupted earlier today after Future Fambo went live on social media alleging that an altercation took place at the event. While he claimed the incident was not caught on camera, he pointed to several alleged witnesses who, according to him, saw what happened.
Fans online are now connecting the dots to simmering tension linked to the hit track “Rum & Red Bull” during streamer IShowSpeed’s recent Jamaica livestream. The buzz reportedly started after Fambo publicly called out Beenie Man for failing to mention him as the featured artiste on the song.
Ziptocrats, let's see how long this beef will simmer for. Tune in to the Zee for the follow-up!
