Beenie Man brings Jamaican culture to NPR’s Black Music Month Tiny Desk Concert

Dancehall icon Beenie Man’s previously teased Tiny Desk Concert has finally dropped on YouTube.

The unplugged office concert series has hosted global stars like Mac Miller, Usher, and Megan Thee Stallion. On the local front, it has featured talents such as Koffee, Sean Paul, and Chronixx.

For the month of June, the series is celebrating Black Music Month. Beenie Man is among the featured artistes this year, alongside Amerie, Wiz Khalifa, and Alex Isley. Beenie Man, accompanied by members of the legendary dance-hall band Ruff Kut, performed his biggest hits, taking the listener through a set featuring “Who Am I”, “Romie”, “Girls Dem Suga”, “Let Him Go”, “Dude”, “King of the Dancehall” and “Rum & Red-Bull”.
