Ayetian Named Billboard’s Caribbean Up and Comer of the Month

International music publication Billboard has named dancehall rising star Ayetian as their Caribbean up and Comer of the Month.
The nod came with an exclusive interview published on Billboard's website, where the artiste spoke about his musical relationship with frequent collaborator and producer Nvtzz, the virality of his hits, his goals for charting on Billboard's major charts, and his Grammy dreams.
The distinction comes a week after the release of his project Jampak, a 16-track mixtape studded with star features. The Wah Yuh Deh Pon artiste is busy this summer juggling major performances like Atlanta's Rum Island Festival and Reggae Sumfest with the upcoming Caribbean Music Awards, of which this year he has received nominations in 7 categories.
The 21-year-old Ayetian, real name Malik Legend Tercien, was also highlighted last week by Ebony Magazine's 'Stamped' series, where they recognise black artistes pushing the envelope in music across the diaspora. Also making the list were fellow dancehall rising stars Valiant and Armanii, who are sharing the spotlight with afrobeat's Rema and Trinibad artiste Coutain.
