Marvel’s ‘Avengers: Endgame’ acquired a triple win at the 2019 MTV Movie and TV awards.

The Fantasy/Sci-fi movie won the award for Best Movie. According to pastemagazine.com, ‘Endgame’ is the 2nd highest grossing movie of all time right after 2009’s ‘Avatar’. Reports from Box office state that ‘Endgame’ is 2.69 billion dollars in sales.

The film also won an award for Best Hero. The award was given to American actor Robert Downey Jr for playing Iron Man. According to comicbook.com, Downey has been playing Tony Stark/Iron Man since the first Marvel Cinematic Universe film, Iron Man, back in 2008 with his character’s journey in many ways serving as the backbone of the universe. He was a story arc that took the character through from his beginnings as a self-centered billionaire to a man who wasn’t just a hero because of the suit he put on, but for his actions outside of Iron Man; as well as his sacrifice to save the entire universe from Thanos in Avengers: Endgame.

Lastly, the film also won an award for Best Villain. The award was given to American actor Josh Brolin for his role as Thanos. Many persons do agree with Thanos being the best villain they’ve ever seen in movies. Thanos has been a topic of discussion on many social media sites and blogs since his appearance in 2018’s ‘Infinity War’ Film. There has been many reaction videos on YouTube about Thanos and ‘Endgame’ was one of the most anticipated films for 2019, mainly because fans wanted to know how it would’ve all turned out with the remaining Avengers against Thanos.

Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame was directed by The Russo Brothers, Anthony Russo and Joe Russo and was released on April 22.

The 2019 MTV Movie and TV Awards ceremony was held at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California, on Sunday but the show was aired on Monday night
