The attorney representing a police officer accused of involvement in a murder case, will be seeking his client‘s release from custody.

This after the witness failed to show up for an identification parade today (August 4).

The policeman had been listed as wanted in relation to the killing of Phillip Wallace, and had been arrested upon his return to Jamaica from the United States, recently.

Wallace was shot dead allegedly by 3 men believed to be cops, in Red Hills St. Andrew, on July 16.

After todays no show by the witness, and the uncertainty about a rescheduled date for the ID parade, Queen’s Counsel Peter Champagnie described the situation as unacceptable.

He said no reason was given by the police for the witness’ absence.

Two other policemen have been charged in connection with the murder of Wallace.
