Are people going to stop supporting American actor Cuba Gooding Jr and his movies too?
This question stems from the arrest of Cuba on Thursday, after which he was charged with a misdemeanour count of “forcible touching” involving an accusation that he groped a woman inappropriately in a New York bar on Sunday. Cuba was arraigned on two misdemeanour charges: one count of forcible touching and one count of sexual abuse in the third degree; he pleaded not guilty to both. Judge Herb Moses released the actor without bail.
So will some people stop supporting the actor?
American singer R. Kelly stopped receiving support from many persons after he was charged with many counts of sexual abuse. During the ‘Surviving R. Kelly’ Docu-series aired on LifeTime that started in January, Many social media users posted their cease of support to the singer, claiming that they will no longer purchase his music, attend his concerts nor play his songs in their homes.
The same thing occurred for late American singer Michael Jackson during HBO’s ‘Leaving Neverland’ where two men claim that when they were boys, Michael began long-running relationships them. They said they were allegedly sexually abused by Jackson. Some social media users said they will not be buying any more of Michael Jackson’s music.
