The anime community is mourning another loss, as renowned voice actor Atsuko Tanaka has died.
The Japanese voice actor was known for her versatile voice and expressive performances for several characters throughout her career.
Tanaka was best known for characters like Hanami in Jujutsu Kaisen, Konan in ‘Naruto’, Lisa Lisa in ‘JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure’, Francis Midford in ‘Black Butler’, Motoko Kusanagi in ‘Ghost in the Shell’, and Bayonetta in ‘Bayonetta’.
The 61-year-old’s son, Hikaru, shared the news of her death on X (formerly Twitter) while thanking his mother’s fans and colleagues for their love and support.
The voice actress passed away from an undisclosed illness.
