Defender Alvas Powell has been ruled out of Jamaica’s World Cup Qualifier against Honduras tomorrow (Wed).

Powell who suffered an injury in last Thursday’s 2-0 loss to the United States in Austin Texas, was substituted when the Reggae Boyz played to a 0-0 draw with Canada at the National Stadium on Sunday after he was employed in a central midfield role by coach Theodore Whitmore.

Powell, who played in all five games in the World Cup Qualifying campaign so far, is reported to be suffering from a hamstring injury.

Meanwhile, the Reggae Boyz are now in Honduras.

They travelled to the Central American country yesterday, after Sunday’s encounter with the Canadians, who occupy fourth on the standings with 7 points.

The result saw the Reggae Boyz remaining at the foot of the eight team table on 2 points.
