Spice, Moliy take BET Awards Pre-Show

Share

Queen of the Dancehall Spice lit up last night’s BET Awards along with Ghanaian artiste Moliy for the award show’s pre-show performance.

Moliy opened the stage with her global hit 'Shake It to The Max', a collaboration between her and Jamaican producer Silent Addy. The singer made history as the first Ghanaian artiste to perform at the BET Awards, a proud milestone for African representation. She was followed by Spice, who brought the fire with her classic tune, 'So Mi Like It'.

Spice had recently performed at the entertainment platform’s 106 & Park Experience along with Jamaican dancehall artiste Konshens.

Jamaican music was additionally put under the spotlight with reggae icon Buju Banton headlining the 2025 BET Experience opening night at the Hollywood Palladium, his first performance in Los Angeles in over 20 years. He was also in attendance last night and gave a candid and funny review of the night's proceedings on his official Instagram page.
