R&B artiste Jaheim was arrested on May 1 in Fulton County, Georgia, and charged with six counts of animal cruelty. Authorities allege he failed to provide clean water, proper ventilation, and sanitary conditions for six dogs—Tweet, Tip, Taka, Tink, Timber, and Tanger. He was released the next day.
This isn’t his first offence. In 2021, police found 15 dogs in poor conditions at his New Jersey home. One had to be euthanized, and Jaheim was charged with third-degree animal cruelty.
The repeated allegations have drawn renewed backlash from the public and animal rights advocates.
