Last years beaten finalist Mount Pleasant have been cited for another breach by defending champions Cavalier.

This according to the letter of protest handed to the competitions committee of the Jamaica Football Federation, which has as its main bone of contention newly acquired Haitian players Angelo Exilus and Jeudy Johnson.

Cavalier on page 5 of the 16 page protest document revealed that the St. Ann-based club was in breach of Article 17.2 when they had 7 overseas players in the squad for the game against Racing United on April 10 instead of the 6 allowed by the regulations.

The players were all placed on the match card. The regulations stipulates that the seventh player is deemed to be ineligible.

Meanwhile, reports are that regional governing body Concacaf has weighed in on the protest lodged by Cavalier, requesting that all the documentation be forwarded to them.
