Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce is set to make her long-awaited return to the track today at the Velocity Fest 17 meet, taking place at the National Stadium.
The 38-year-old sprinting legend will compete in the first heat of the women’s 100m event, marking her official season opener.
Fraser-Pryce, will go head-to-head with MVP athletes Natasha Morrison and Shockoria Wallace, along with Shaniqua Bascome of Trinidad and Tobago, and Jura Levy from Swept Track Club.
This appearance will be Fraser-Pryce’s first since she withdrew from the semi-finals at the 2024 Olympic Games in France.
