CARICOM Foreign Ministers To Meet On U.S. Restrictions Impacting Cuban Medical Missions

Share

CARICOM foreign ministers are set to meet again to discuss the next steps for member states regarding the potential adverse impacts of U.S. restrictions on Cuban medical missions.

Last week, the U.S. announced a visa restriction policy related to forced labor linked to Cuba’s labor export program.

These restrictions affect not only Cubans but also foreign government officials and their families.

Concerns have since been raised about the impact on Jamaica and other Caribbean countries that rely on Cuban medical teams, with calls for a unified regional response.
