Last week, Dancehall artiste, Beenie Man sparked controversy with disparaging remarks about Trinidad's beloved street food, doubles, during an appearance on the podcast Drink Champs.
The backlash was swift after the video, uploaded on February 1, showcased the dancehall artiste expressing his dislike for the popular dish.
Fast forward to yesterday (February 9), Drink Champs stirred the pot further by dropping a video of their host, Noreaga N.O.R.E., asking Vybz Kartel if he enjoys doubles. Kartel’s response? Pure comedic genius.
The "Fever" singer declared his love for doubles and, when asked about his favourite version, quipped, “My favourite version of doubles is the one that that dude doesn’t like.” The comment sent the studio into fits of laughter.
The clip quickly went viral on social media, with fans and celebrities weighing in. Rohan Marley chimed in under the post, calling it “Marketing at its finest… it’s all good vibes,” while fans filled the comment section with laughing and flame emojis, turning the light-hearted jab into a viral moment.
