Tiny and T.I. Awarded 71 Mil

Share

American couple Tip ‘T.I.’ Harris and Tiny Harris have been awarded the full $71 million in their lawsuit against MGA Entertainment, the creators of LOL Surprise! Dolls.

Tiny and T.I. accused the mega toy company of copying the likeness of Tiny’s girl group, the OMG Girlz. Initially, Judge James Selna proposed reducing the payout to $18 million, cutting the original proposal by 75%, by citing insufficient evidence for $53.6 million in punitive damages.

However, after reconsideration, he upheld the original award. The lawsuit, which took three attempts to win, found seven dolls in MGA's line that resembled the OMG Girlz. MGA denied the allegations and labelled the couple as "extortionists."

T.I. condemned MGA’s actions, referring to them as exploitative. Tiny celebrated the victory, expressing gratitude and highlighting the OMG Girlz members—Zonnique, Bahja Rodriguez, and Breaunna Womack.

The other members of the girl group will also benefit from the ruling.
