Junior doctors have taken industrial action.
It's understood that doctors across the island called in sick this morning.
The junior doctors have been growing impatient with the continued delay in resolving overtime remuneration and other issues.
The Jamaica Medical Doctors’ Association (JMDA) wrote to Finance Minister, Fayval Williams on Thursday about the members’ disappointment and had given the Ministry 24 hours to address the issue.
The JMDA noted that the Association cannot guarantee that the health sector will remain unaffected in the coming days.
