Dancehall Artist 1SkiMask has officially entered the global music scene by signing his first international record deal with Sony Music’s Epic Records, in collaboration with Against Da Grain Entertainment (ADG). This milestone was orchestrated by Tyshawn “Fly Ty” Johnson, a seasoned VP of A&R at Epic and the founder of ADG, known for his role in signing talents like HoodCelebrity.
Epic Records, renowned for its legacy in dancehall through iconic artists such as Shabba Ranks and Patra, continues its tradition of nurturing Caribbean talent.
With this deal, 1SkiMask joins fellow Jamaican artist Valiant, who earlier this year aligned with Epic Records UK, under the Sony Music umbrella.
The signing signals 1SkiMask’s potential to become a significant figure in the global dancehall movement.
