Acclaimed Jamaican singer Karen Smith will be laid to rest on October 6.
She died in hospital on September 11, after battling colon cancer
Smith was one of Jamaica’s most renowned Carabet singers.
She was also a member of the group ‘Pakage’ which also comprised Patricia Edwards and Gem Myers.
Smith was conferred with the Order of Distinction in 2006 by the Government of Jamaica for her contribution to the music industry.
