The United States Centres for disease Control and Prevention, CDC has issued Level4 travel notice for Jamaica, warning citizens against travel to the island.

This, as the CDC says Jamaica’s COVID-19 level is very high.

Over the past five days Jamaica has recorded 3,770 new Covid-19 cases. The travel notice which was updated on the CDC’s website today says citizens must avoid travel to Jamaica.

It says if citizens must travel to the island they should ensure they are fully vaccinated before travel, as given the current situation in Jamaica, even fully vaccinated travellers may be at risk for getting and spreading COVID-19 variants.
