Actor Michael K. Williams dies at 54

Michael K. Williams, the actor best known for his role on “The Wire,” has passed away at the age of 54.

According to the New York Post, Williams was found dead in his apartment in Brooklyn, New York on Monday (Sept. 6).

His nephew found his body in the living room of his home and drug paraphernalia was reportedly found at the scene.

Williams recently starred in the Emmy Award-nominated show “Lovecraft Country.”

He received his fifth Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor for his role as Montrose Freeman.

He was also Emmy-nominated for his roles in Netflix’s critically acclaimed series “When They See Us,” HBO’s “The Night Of,” and the film Bessie.
