The Police have arrested and charged a 17-year-old of Third Street, Kingston 12 with the shooting death of 40-year-old Winston Muir otherwise called ‘Baggie’ of 8 East Road in the parish following an incident along East Road in the vicinity of Sixth Street in the parish on Tuesday, July 13.
The teen has been charged with Murder, Illegal Possession of Firearm and Ammunition.
Reports from the Denham Town Police are that about 11:35 p.m residents heard gunshot explosions and alerted the police. Upon their arrival, Muir’s body was seen lying on the ground in a pool of blood with gunshot wounds to the head and upper body.
The crime scene was processed and the body removed to the morgue for post mortem.
The teen was arrested on Saturday, July 24, and officially charged yesterday.
His court date has not yet been finalised.
