DaBaby returns to the stage for the first time following his controversial homophobic remarks at the Rolling Loud Festival in Miami last month.
Over the weekend, the rapper appeared at Hot97’s Summer Jam 2021 at Met Life Stadium in New Jersey. This event was one of only a few that did not drop the rapper from their lineups.
The rapper opened his set with a video montage that also featured his voice-over that addressed the fallout. He also thanked Hot97 for still keeping him on the lineup, “They accepted my sincerity and all my apologies when I said I never, ever meant to offend anybody or say anything to make anybody feel any type of way live on that stage a few weeks ago.”
He continued his set with ‘Cry Baby’ featuring Meg Thee Stallion, to which he said, “Other than the people that, you know, was truly offended, I feel like the rest of y’all are being cry babies.”
