Elaine Thompson-Herah has completed the double at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics by retaining her 200m title in 21.53 seconds, the first woman to retain the sprint double at the Olympic Games.

She is the second fastest woman in history over 200m and the fastest alive over the distance.

Namibia’s Christine Mboma took silver in 21.81 seconds while Gabby Thomas of the USA took bronze in 21.87 seconds.

Shelly Ann Fraser Pryce was fourth in 21.94 seconds
