Jamaican swimmer Keanan Dols missed out on advancing in the men’s 200m butterfly when he opened his campaign this morning (Mon) at the Tokyo 202 Olympic Games in Japan.

The 23 year old Dols despite producing splits of 26.91 seconds, 30. 72 seconds and 31.02 and 31.60 seconds will not be around for the semi finals tomorrow morning.

He posted 2:00.25 seconds to place third in heat one and 34th overall, of the 38 competitors.

Meanwhile world record holder Alia Atkinson was eliminated after the first round of the women’s 100m breaststroke yesterday (Sun).

The five times Olympian placed third in heat three, in 1:07.70 seconds, that was not good enough to get her in the top 16, ending her Tokyo sojourn.
