Track and field star, Yohan Blake, gave us a quick preview of the new dormitory and football field at the Mount Olivet Boys Homes.
Posted to his Instagram yesterday was a picture of the new dormitories and football field with the caption, “When you dream of something and it finally comes alive! My dream is to see every kid that is suffering that is a ward of the state live a normal life. Michael Jackson once said it starts with the person in the mirror that person is me, Every kid deserves to be smiling, each person deserves a better life. This is what I’m living for, my dream”. He continued by saying, “This is why God put me on the earth, to create a living for the living. So start with me today YB Family”.
The project was a collaborative effort by Yohan’s YB Afraid Foundation, watchmaker Richard Mille, Sandals Foundation and Adidas Running.
The Mount Olivet Boys Home is located in Manchester and provides residential and social services for boys ages 8 to 18 who are orphaned, homeless, abandoned or who live with families that cannot adequately provide for them.
