POLICE PROBE 3 SEPARATE MURDERS ACROSS THE ISLAND, FRIDAY

The police are probing three separate murders across the island, yesterday (July 9).

The incidents occurred in Manchester, Clarendon and Kingston.

The deceased are thirty-three-year-old Shane Mcdonald of Bethel Street, Manchester; 23-year-old Ithamer Gentles of Oak Road, Longville Park, Clarendon; and an unidentified man.

In the latest incident, Mcdonald was shot dead by unknown assailants in Davyton District Manchester.

Reports from the Mandeville Police are that about 9:30 p.m., Mcdonald and a woman were allegedly at a party in the area, when they were pounced upon by gunmen who shot them.

The police were alerted and they were taken to hospital where Mcdonald was pronounced dead and the woman was admitted for treatment.

Hours earlier, an unidentified man was shot dead on unity lane, Olympic Gardens, Kingston 11.

Reports from the Hunts Bay Police are that about 7:15 p.m., residents reportedly heard explosions and alerted them.

On their arrival, the man was seen lying along the roadway.

He was taken to hospital where he died while being treated.

And over in Clarendon, Gentles was shot dead by gunmen.

Reports from the May Pen Police are that about 1:20 p.m., a resident stumbled upon the body, at the community centre, and alerted the cops.

Officers who responded saw Gentles’ body lying in a pool of blood; it had multiple gunshot wounds.

The scene was processed and the body removed to the morgue.
