The South East Regional Health Authority, SERHA, has recommended operational changes at the Spanish Town Hospital in St. Catherine, in the wake of investigations into a matter involving a woman who lost her baby under controversial circumstances, earlier this month.

The SERHA board has not disclosed the findings of the investigations.

It’s reported that 26-year-old Shanique Armstrong visited the hospital for medical attention and ended up delivering her child by her self.

Since the incident, not much has happened and Ms. Armstrong has grown suspicious of the health officials, saying she believes the investigation into her case is being deliberately delayed, in the hope that it will be forgotten.
