Customers of the Jamaica Public Service Company JPS, are to know by September if they will be paying more for electricity.

This as the JPS has applied to Office of Utilities Regulation OUR, for the annual tariff review.

This is the light company’s first application for an annual tariff adjustment, following the conclusion of the OUR’s 2019 to 2024 JPS tariff review process in December 2020.

JPS’s proposal includes consideration for an average adjustment of 3.5 percent of the non fuel tariff.
