A number of Jamaican cruise ship workers are back at work after more than a year off the job.

Many have been called back to work as the cruise lines prepare to resume operations after the industry was shut down due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Cruise ships have been receiving approval from the US Centers For Disease Control to test sail in US waters or to sail ships with paying passengers.

One cruise line has indicated its plan to have 95% of passengers and 100% of cruise members fully vaccinated before its ship set sail.
