American singer SZA claims that American comedian Katt Williams called her mentally ill while they were shooting a film together.
The “Snooze” singer sat down with Kendrick Lamar for an interview with Harper’s Bazaar and shared the memorable moment.
According to the singer, she wasn’t offended and actually took it as a "compliment.”
In SZA’s words “We shot a movie last night. I’ve never shot a movie before, so I was freaking out. It’s a lot of being scared to be myself. I’m either gonna pretend it never happened or not show up to the premiere. He told me I was mentally ill, like, as a compliment. He was like, ‘Sza, I believe you might have some mental—’ And I was like, ‘Illness?’ And he was like, ‘Yes.’ He said, ‘Oh, welcome.'”
The soon-to-be-named film will feature Keke Palmer, SZA, and Katt and is set to hit theatres in January 2025.
The film is produced by Issa Rae.
