Rapper A$AP Rocky Set To Buy EFL Club Tranmere Rovers

A$AP Rocky is reportedly planning to invest in a football team across the pond alongside the lawyer who’s currently representing him in his gun case.

British tabloid The Sun is speculating that the Harlem rapper will be buying into League Two club Tranmere Rovers as part of an investment group headed by his lawyer, Joe Tacopina.

According to the report, the group is set to buy 80 percent of the club for just over $16 million.

Rocky is said to be “committed” to the bid for Rovers and has plans to attend the games, which Tacopina is reportedly hoping will help increase visibility and revenue.

The news arrives as A$AP Rocky and Tacopina begin trial in the rapper’s case for an alleged shooting incident.

Rocky, who was charged with two counts of assault with a semi-automatic firearm, faces up to 24 years in prison if found guilty.
