300 persons have died in road crashes since the start of the year.
Vice Chairman of the National Road Safety Council Dr Lucien Jones says while this is 11 percent fewer than the corresponding period last year, it is still not good news.
He said to achieve the World Health Organization’s, (WHO) mandate to reduce road deaths by 50 percent by 2030, will be difficult.
He notes while road deaths are projected to be lower than last year, the country will have to redouble its efforts to reduce motor vehicle crashes.
