The Independent Commission of Investigations, INDECOM, is urging the country’s security forces to take the necessary steps to ensure training or retraining in firearm discipline.
Commissioner of INDECOM, Hugh Faulkner, made the call while speaking during the commission’s 2021 first quarterly press conference, this morning.
He says statistics since 2019 showed several cases of accidental firearm discharge by members of the security forces, which is concerning.
