Six males will appear in the St. Ann’s Bay Parish Court on Friday, May 7 to answer to charges under the Sexual Offences Act following their arrest and charge in relation to two incidents in the parish in late April.

Five of the six have been charged in connection with the sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl.

Following a report to the Police on Friday, April 30, four were arrested by the St. Ann’s Bay Police on Saturday, May 1. The fifth suspect later turned himself in. All five were interviewed in the presence of their attorneys and subsequently charged.

Three teenagers—two 16 year olds and one 18 year old—are among the five. The others are ages 20 and 23.

The sixth person, a 20-year-old man, was held shortly after the police received reports of a 5-year-old boy being sexually assaulted on Sunday, May 2. He was charged after being interviewed in the presence of his attorney.
