Opposition Spokesperson on Health and Wellness, Dr. Morais Guy has expressed concern over the effectiveness of the new COVID-19 restrictions announced by the Prime Minister, last evening.
Amid the surge in COVID-19 cases, Prime Minister Andrew Holness implemented lock-downs over the next three weekends. The new measures will be in effect until April 13.
For the most part, the nightly curfews will continue from 8 pm to five the next morning except for the weekends, and especially the long Easter weekend.
Dr. Guy notes that the newly announced restrictions will not be as effective for the immediate issues at hand and will only serve as a long-term solution.
