Health and Wellness Minister Dr Christopher Tufton got his shot of the Astra Zeneca vaccine at the Spanish Town Hospital in St Catherine this afternoon. (Friday)
He used the opportunity to urge citizens to join the line and take the vaccine as he says it will help with the country’s recovery.
Mr Tufton said that he’s hopeful that more persons will be inspired to become inoculated.
He is expected to get his second dose of the vaccine in another eight weeks.
In the meantime, Prime Minister Andrew Holness is assuring the country that he will get vaccinated but only when it is his turn to receive the COVID-19 jab.
