One year after launching Verzuz, Producers Swizz Beatz and Timbaland have sold the powerhouse platform.

Triller Network, the parent company of the social-networking app Triller, has acquired the global live stream music series. While financial details weren’t disclosed, Swizz and Timbaland will become large shareholders in the Triller Network and serve as brand visionaries on the Triller Verzuz management team.
Verzuz has been one of the biggest winners in the pandemic, effectively monetizing an audience that had nothing to do outside.
Many of the artistes who performed on Verzuz will become shareholders as well, including dancehall legends Bounty Killer and Beenie Man.

Verzuz launched in March of 2020 amid the cancellation of live events due to the pandemic. The platform has become a cultural phenomenon, bringing people and music together during the pandemic.
