The Opposition has questioned the Government’s decision to spend 5 hundred million dollars on a Covid marketing campaign, instead of purchasing more vaccines.

The opposition has also expressed concern about how citizens who have been out of work for a year will continue to cope, without help.

In a social media post last evening, Opposition Leader Mark Golding indicated that the Shadow Cabinet held an emergency meeting yesterday, to discuss issues relating to the government’s handling of the Covid 19 pandemic.

The meeting allowed the opposition to consult with medical professionals about the Prime Minister’s announcements in Parliament, on Tuesday.

Mr. Golding reiterated the concern about the government only vaccinating 16 percent of the population when the recommended target is 70 percent.
