Mandeville Mayor, Donovan Mitchell says there are plans to build a homeless shelter in Mandeville.
He says the move is indicative of the Corporation’s commitment to assisting members of the homeless population.
Noting that Mandeville residents have expressed concern over the number of homeless people in the community, Mayor Mitchell said steps are being taken to shelter them.
He is calling on the private sector and the church to support the Corporation’s efforts to rehabilitate and provide shelter for mentally ill and homeless people.
