Recording artiste Movado son Dante Brooks was found guilty of murder yesterday in the Home Circuit Court
Brooks was arrested back in June of 2018 along with his co-accused Andre Hinds, who was also found guilty of murder. According to law enforcement officials, the two men killed Lorenzo Thomas, aka Israel or Chulups, on June 5, 2018,
Reports are that Dante, Andre Hinds, and others kicked in the door at Thomas’ home in the morning hours of June 5, 2018. Police say the men proceeded to shoot and chop Thomas to death – his head being almost severed in the gruesome attack. As if that wasn’t enough, the men reportedly set Thomas’ house on fire with his body inside.
The defense team for Brooks opted to have a trial by a judge alone, as opposed to a judge and jury.
Now local selector and social media star Foota Hype sent a little message to the entertainer’s son:
as long as u have life u have hope and where there is hope there is a way keep praying the ancestors will listen.
Dante now faces the possibility of a life sentence in prison.
