According to reports, Trey Songz has been arrested for trespassing, resisting arrest and assaulting a police officer. The singer and rapper was allegedly involved in a physical altercation with a police officer during the NFL’s Conference Championship game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills yesterday.
Video obtained by TMZ, shows Trey and the officer in a struggle, Trey
connects with a punch to the officer’s head, and gets him in a headlock, but then the officer pins Trey to a seat.
A witness stated that Trey was being heckled by some fans a few rows behind him and he asked them to chill out. soon after an officer approached Trey, and without warning, went after him. the witness says. Trey, totally caught off guard when the officer got physical, started to defend himself.
Throughout the video fans can be heard shouting at the officer, telling him to get off Songz until additional officers arrived. Fans were also yelling for the officer to be arrested.
Trey is currently in custody, but it’s unclear if he’s being booked for anything, or
simply detained.
