Five Teens, Others Held for Attending Illegal Party

Nine persons, including five teenagers, were arrested and charged in the Kingston Western Police Division for breaches under the Disaster Risk Management Act on Tuesday, December 22.

Charged are: 72-year-old Tyrone Gayle of East Road, 39-year-old Alrick Walters of Myers Street, 24-year-old Tamoy Brown and 31-year-old Theresa Fray, both of Septimus Street.

All the addresses are in the Kingston 12 area.

Reports from the Denham Town police are that about 11:30 pm during curfew hours, a group of persons was seen walking along a roadway and were accosted by law enforcers.

An investigation was launched and it was realised that all nine persons who were in the custody of the police had allegedly been at a party in the area.

They were subsequently arrested and charged for breaches of the Disaster Risk Management Act, and are scheduled to appear in the court at a date to be finalised by the police.
