Two flights from the United Kingdom which were expected in the island today, have been cancelled.
They were among three expected to land, even as the government announced a two week ban on flights from Britain, following the discovery of a more infectious COVID-19 variant in the UK.
The third flight was already en route to the island and landed last evening, with some 302 passengers.
The Health Ministry says the passengers are now in state quarantine, for a minimum of 48 hours.
Each passenger is required to do a PCR test.
Those who test negative will be fitting with arm bands for monitoring and released to complete their 14 day quarantine at home, while those found to be positive will be isolated in state facilities until recovered.
