Dennis Chung, the general secretary of the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF), has called on the Jamaican Government to reconsider the rental fees for the National Stadium, which currently costs the JFF over two million dollars for international matches.
He highlighted the example of Trinidad and Tobago, where the government provides free access to the Hasely Crawford Stadium for national teams, requiring only payment for lighting costs.
Chung believes that reducing or eliminating rental fees could significantly ease the financial burden on the JFF and support the development of football in Jamaica.
